What is a Brazilian Blowout?
The Brazilian Blowout is a liquid keratin hair treatment that bonds to your hair, creating a protective layer around each strand. This helps eliminate annoying frizz, seals the cuticle, and protects against potential damage. Originating in Brazil, this treatment uses native ingredients such as camu camu, annatto seed, and açai berry.
After treatment, your hair will be hydrated, less frizzy, heat resilient, and glowing with an incredible shine.
Unlike other keratin treatments, you have more freedom after a Brazilian Blowout treatment. For example, with other keratin treatments, you more or less cannot style, wash, or tie your hair for three or four days that follow. With the Brazilian Blowout, all we have to do is apply the treatment, rinse it out, and that’s it. You can style your hair any way you wish afterward!
You have the option of having your hair completely straight, or we can style it the way that you wish after the treatment. The treatment formula will be modified based on your desired style.
Brazilian Blowouts are safe for any time of hair. It will improve your shine and your moisture levels.
What is the treatment process?
First, we will shampoo your hair thoroughly to remove any previous product and create a base for the treatment. Next, we will apply the Brazilian Blowout treatment to your hair, section by section, root to tip. After the application of the treatment, we will blow dry your hair smooth. Then, we take a flat iron to seal in the treatment. This will be followed by a final rinsing of the treatment and a deep conditioning mask. Finally, we will blow dry your hair again.
After the treatment
Brazilian Blowouts will last anywhere from 3-4 months. However, this depends on the types of shampoo that you lose and how regularly you need to wash your hair. Using shampoos that contain significant levels of sulfate and chlorine will affect how long your Brazilian Blowout is preserved.
After the treatment wears off, your hair will return to its natural curl pattern. However, please note there’s no line of demarcation—that is, you will not see an obvious line between previously treated hair and new hair growth. This is different compared to other relaxing and straightening methods.
